My Story

My work has been shaped by paying close attention to what happens as organizations grow and leadership becomes more complex.

Early in my career, I worked alongside leaders and teams who were capable, committed, and deeply invested in doing good work. What I noticed, again and again, was that challenges rarely stemmed from a lack of effort or skill. Instead, they emerged when expectations multiplied, decisions involved more people, and informal ways of working were asked to carry more weight than they were designed to hold.

That observation stayed with me.

As I deepened my training in psychology and organizational systems, I became increasingly interested in the space between individual leadership and organizational design. Specifically, how much leadership effectiveness depends on the structures, norms, and practices surrounding people, not just on personal capability.

Apidae Consulting grew out of that focus. What began as leadership and team development work expanded into helping organizations design leadership practices that are clearer, more consistent, and better suited to real-world complexity. Practices that reduce unnecessary friction, support better decision-making, and allow leaders to lead without constant strain.

Alongside my professional work, personal experiences reinforced the importance of designing systems that work for a broad range of thinking styles. This perspective influenced how my work evolved, bringing greater attention to clarity, accessibility, and the conditions that allow differing strengths to contribute effectively. Neurodivergence became one important lens in that work, alongside a broader commitment to thoughtful, human-centered organizational design.

Today, my role within Apidae focuses on assessment-informed insight, pattern recognition, and systems-level thinking. I work with leaders and organizations who want to design leadership practices that are intentional, scalable, and grounded in evidence so results don't depend on individual effort alone, but on systems that actually work.

This perspective shapes how I partner with clients and how I approach the work we do at Apidae.
